Three and a half pickles.....................

Recently, I watched "ladies in lavender". Very quirky, to say the least.....a story about two sisters, that find a young man washed up on their beach. They don't speak the same language, and this makes for a very "trying" recovery period for the young man. I would say this is very close to a "Hallmark" movie, but not quite. It is very heartwarming with an ending that I could not have imagined. I give this movie Three and a half, out of five pickles........"

Whistling Dixie....

I came upon this book as I was leaving the library one afternoon, just by chance. It has everything I love. Southern roots, with a twist of living on the East Coast. A great "Summer Read".

What I'm Reading Now.............

I love to read Luanne Rice. Any of her book's would be great "beach reads". Most of what I have learned about the ocean, I have learned from reading her books."Most" of what I know, I have been known to read "True Life" lost at sea books, that were very captivating. Luanne Rice is a very detailed and colorful story teller.

Favorite of mine...........

Margaret O'Brien, has long been one of my favorite child actresses of all time.

She is captivating as Tuti in "Meet Me in St. Louis", and plays a very charming Beth in "Little Women". I just had to blog about her.....she will lift your spirits everytime.

Vintage Hat's........I needed to get out of "tree mode", seems that is all I have been blogging about and there is clearly a lot more going on these days. These are Vintage Hat's that my grandmother gifted me a very long time ago. She had mentioned that they were made in Nashville, Tn., although I'm really not sure about that. Aren't they lovely....pick your poison. I really have not had any use for them in probably 20 years, so they are going up for sale on my Etsy shop http://www.etsy.dishpanhands.com/. They really deserve to be shown off.

Yes, it's me, and I can not wait a whole year to take a monthly picture of a wonderful tree....I found a new tree to follow and blog about, although I have not yet came up with a name for her. The last one was "Winter" for "Winter Warlock", but something about this one strikes me as being very motherly. I will give it some thought and let you know. Isn't she b.e.a.utiful?

I have to give prop's to "Adam 12" also. Part of the second grade, home sick, television line up....along with "Lucy", "Green Acre's", and "Bewitched".
