Last night I decided to put and extra "blanket" on my bed because it seemed a little chilly.......I reached up in the closet and pulled down a quilt that was given to me from my grandmother's estate. I hadn't really used it because, 1.) it doesn't really "go" with anything in my room, and 2.) I am only one person and can only use so many blankets at one time. When I got into bed, I was a child of 5 or 6 at my grandparent's farm. I have had the quilt for a little over three years, and it still smelled of my grandmother's home. I was a little child sharing a bed with my brother and it was pitch black outside. Their farm was near the interstate, and the only thing you could hear at night, was country silence and the distant sound of Semi Trucks going by. We always woke to the sound of the rooster crowing.............
