Santa stop here...............!

So happy the Holiday Season is upon us..... I have had luck lately "catching" some of my favorite Christmas Specials on t.v. Tonight I will watch the lighting of the tree at Rockefeller Center and wish that I could some day ice skate there.

I am looking forward to holiday shopping, snow, a little hibernation at home after the Holiday, and the up coming 2014 Winter Olympics.... (love the ice skating, and snowboarding).

A must see........

Hillarious.....loved the cast, love Meryl Streep, who doesn't love Steve Martin? This movie is so funny with some unexpected suprises, (that cracked me up) from the ordinary. Now added to my collection that I will watch again, and again.

Three and a half pickles.....................

Recently, I watched "ladies in lavender". Very quirky, to say the least.....a story about two sisters, that find a young man washed up on their beach. They don't speak the same language, and this makes for a very "trying" recovery period for the young man. I would say this is very close to a "Hallmark" movie, but not quite. It is very heartwarming with an ending that I could not have imagined. I give this movie Three and a half, out of five pickles........"

Favorite of mine...........

Margaret O'Brien, has long been one of my favorite child actresses of all time.

She is captivating as Tuti in "Meet Me in St. Louis", and plays a very charming Beth in "Little Women". I just had to blog about her.....she will lift your spirits everytime.

Happy Easter..........

I was at our local library today, and low and behold "Easter Parade" was on the shelf....(it is never on the shelf at this time of year). So I picked it up, along with a P. Allen Smith "Container Gardening" book to get some ideas for my balcony, and a couple of other movie's to watch this weekend. I hope that everyone out there has a wonderful holiday.

I've already done it...........

I have set up my tree, and watched one of my favorite Christmas Movie's.

Irving Berlin's "White Christmas"......Bing, Danny, Rosemary, and Vera....

what fun this movie is. When I hear the music in this movie, it brings back

so many fond memories. Growing up in a home where my parent's loved

classical musicals..........this was always one of my favorite's any time of the

year.
